The social pyramid of Ancient Egypt:
- First came pharaoh
- Then came his right hand man his vizier
- Next came the nobles and the priest
- Then comes the craftsmen and merchants
- Lastly there are the farmers and slaves
Ancient Egypt had few laws including common sense laws like do not kill, or steal. Unlike most governments the Egyptians liked using their courts, instead of relating a crime to one of the laws they preferred to have most cases taken to the court and be tried. They thought it a fair and just way and then decided punishment from there.
